A Walk by the Pond
Every day is a great day for a walk in the park. Today with Spring turning towards Summer baby ducks and baby geese were visible by the pond. The first batch of babies were anxiously attended by a young mom who still looked a little fluffy herself and walked with a limp. Further along, several batches of baby geese of various ages were watched by 3 or 4 adults. When I first walked up, the juveniles were apparently napping on the pavement now shady, but must have been still warm from the afternoon sun. Then a teenager jumped up and ran over to the grass to look for grubs. Very quickly all the younger ones followed suit. Meanwhile, I had slowly crept in with the camera and started filming and taking pictures. Didn't realize how close I was until I noticed the Mom had me on her radar. I slowly backed away and continued my walk.
